2. What is NovaGameExpo?

It’s a virtual, in-browser gaming expo where you can explore and play demos of the latest PC and console games without installing, or special hardware. It’s a unique, accessible way for gamers and developers to connect.

It’s designed to give ALL the benefits of an IRL games expo, but without the cost, language barriers, or environmental footprint of a big exhibition.

The event opens on February 15th and runs 24/7 for two weeks.

Tickets are completely free. They’re distributed via gaming, tech, and general press outlets—and through influencer giveaways. If your favorite website or influencer isn’t doing a giveaway,  you can register for tickets on our website.

All ticket codes are re-usable, so you can enter and exit Nova Game Expo as many times as you like.

However, tickets can only be used in one browser. So you can’t open Nova Game Expo in browser A, close it and then open it in Browser B using the same ticket code.

If this becomes an issue you can always register for a new ticket code using a different email address.

The expo itself is open to everyone, but if you are under 18, please get your parents’ consent. Individual game kiosks may display specific age restrictions. We’ve done our best to include them and apologize if any are missing.

Yes! As long as you have a modern web browser, you can attend from anywhere in the world.

Yes. Press and influencers will get access on February 13th and 14th—before the public launch on February 15th. This process will be repeated for future events.

Participation

1. How do I exhibit?

For exhibitor details, visit NovaGameExpo.com and click the Exhibitor menu to find all the information about upcoming events and how to apply.

No installation is required. Simply visit the website, click the Enter button and the event will stream directly to your browser.

Your browser will store the event app so you don’t have to download it every time to return. You can return anytime during the two-week period.

A PC (Windows) download version of the expo is available and can be downloaded from our website. So if you prefer to run the expo locally you can do, but there is no requirement.

Yes, you can download the expo and run it locally on a Windows PC, if you prefer.

To run Nova Game Expo locally, simply download the expo from our website.

Extract the files to your preferred file location on your PC.

Launch the NovaGameExpo application. Note, that playable game demos will still launch in your browser, so an internet connection is still required to get the most from the expo.

A modern web browser on a laptop or desktop is recommended for the best experience. Some game demos may require a keyboard and mouse for full functionality; if you have a controller, it should work as well.

No special accessories are necessary. Standard keyboard and mouse or a compatible controller will do.

We’ve done our best to make the event as accessible as possible. However, given the complexity and time constraints, we cannot guarantee full accessibility for everyone. If you encounter issues, please contact us via our social media channels @NovaGameExpo so we can work on improvements for future events.

No. You simply register your email to receive a free ticket. There’s no obligation to accept marketing communications afterward.

Navigation follows standard immersive 3D game controls:

  • Keyboard: Use WASD to move, Shift to run, and press E to interact.
  • Controller: Similar inputs apply if you have one connected.

At this time, attendee-to-attendee chat is not available. You can interact with AI-powered avatars representing the developers. In future editions, we plan to expand social features—stay tuned!

Games & Content

1. Are the games fully playable, or just demos and showcases?

You’ll be playing fully playable demos directly in your browser, designed to give you a real taste of each game.

Each booth features a kiosk. Click (or press E) on a kiosk to follow a link to a dedicated game page where you can:

  • Join the game’s social media or Discord,
  • Wishlist or purchase the game, or
  • Download a demo to play on your gaming device.

Yes! Anyone can stream or create content about NovaGameExpo. Please be sure to tag us with #NOVAGAMEXPO

There won’t be any live talks or panels during this edition. We’re considering adding these features in future events, so please send us your feedback on what you’d like to see.

The in-browser demos will no longer be accessible after the event closes. However, many booths include links for downloading demos or purchasing the full game if you’re interested.

If you miss the live event, you can still find content from the thousands of social media posts, influencer streams, and press reviews. Sign up on our mailing list at the bottom of the webpage to be notified about future events.

Yes, we’re planning to host NovaGameExpo at least once per quarter—so there’s always another chance to join the action!

Support & Feedback

1. How do I report any issues, bugs, or concerns?

If you encounter any issues or have feedback, please reply or send a direct message via our social media channels @NovaGameExpo. We appreciate your input and will work to resolve any problems.

AI & Data Privacy

1. Is my privacy protected?

Yes. None of your personal data is shared.

We may contact you about future events, but you can opt out of these or other emails any time.

Up to a point. We have built on fabulous work done by other event organisers and game developers. We are inspired by Tokyo Game Show, Indie Booth Arena Online, Boston FIGS, and others.

Patents Pending. Some of our work is highly original and 3 patents have been applied for, so you won’t be able to copy everything we’ve done!

Can I license your technology? Yes, we are working with event organisers, publishers, and other organizations outside gaming, to put on digital companion events that bring the environmental and social benefits of this event to more destinations.

Yes. We’ve worked closely with game developers to enable AI-powered avatars that share detailed backstories and insights in the developers’ own voices.

Additionally, AI generates short, anonymized summaries of your interactions to provide developers with your valuable feedback—essentially a massive playtest.

No personal information is shared. If you’re uncomfortable interacting with AI, simply avoid chatting with the avatars or contact us for additional support.
